Delegates are strongly advised to arrange their own insurance to cover medical and other expenses including accident or loss. Where a delegate has to cancel for medical reasons, the normal cancellation policy will be applied. It is recommended that citizens from EU countries bring with them a current E101 form

The Netherlands enjoy a temperate climate. Mean daily temperature in June and July is 20/21 Celsius. Rain belts and showers are also very common, so it will be wise to pack a rain

Access to Amsterdam

By Car

Coming from Utrecht / Amersfoort
On the A2 or A1 follow signs A10 Amsterdam ring road direction Zaanstad until exit number S114 (sign ‘Zeeburg / Artis’). From here follow description as below

Coming from Schiphol International Airport / The Hague (Den Haag)
From Schiphol take the A4 to Amsterdam and then the A10 Amsterdam ring road (north). Leave the A10 Amsterdam ring road (north) at the S114 junction (follow the signs for ‘Centrum, Zeeburg and Artis’). Turn left at the end of the exit road. Follow the road until you have passed through the Piet Hein Tunnel. At the end of the tunnel turn right, following the signs for ‘Centrum and Centraal Station’. You will pass three traffic lights; after the fourth light turn right. The entrance to the public parking is situated in front of the Mövenpick hotel. It is also possible to park at “P + R Zeeburg” (Park and Ride)

By Public Transport

Coming from the airport Schiphol
Trains will be leaving every 15 minutes to ‘Amsterdam Centraal Station’ (platform 1 or 2)
Arriving at Central Station you can:
• Take a taxi at the exit that leads to the city centre
• Take tram 26 (direction ‘IJburg’) at the exit that leads to the city center. Get out at the 2nd stop (Muziekgebouw/Bimhuis)
• Take tram 25, leaving from the Arriva Bus station, situated at the Southeast side of the station. Get out at: Muziekgebouw/Bimhuis
• From the Central Station it is a 10-minute walk

Taxi service from the airport

Taxis are available just outside the airport
hall and will cost you about € 50,-
